A few simple checks can help you look after your home, your family and your neighbours while you enjoy the celebrations.

01 · Choose an organised display

Enjoy a professionally organised display where possible. If using fireworks at home, follow the instructions and keep the stated safety distance from people and property. Never return to a lit firework.

02 · Protect your home

Close windows and doors to keep smoke and sparks outside. Keep bonfires well away from buildings, fences, sheds and trees. Never use petrol or paraffin to get a fire going.

03 · Check before you go out

Test your smoke alarms, keep escape routes clear and put candles out. Lock external doors and accessible windows, and secure your shed and garden gate before leaving.

04 · Look after pets and neighbours

Keep pets safely indoors before fireworks begin, with curtains closed and a quiet place to settle. Let neighbours know in advance if you plan to use fireworks.

05 · Take care with sparklers

Wear gloves and supervise children closely. Never give sparklers to children under five. Put used sparklers straight into a bucket of water; they stay hot after the sparkle stops.

06 · Leave everything safe

Never leave a bonfire unattended. Make sure it is completely extinguished before going indoors. If a fire threatens a home or someone is in danger, get out, stay out and call 999.

I met Dee and Ryan at their offices and were super impressed with their commitment and knowledge of the housing market locally. The new Renters Rights act is a minefield for amateur landlords and I would recommend all landlords to use this estate agents to bring their portfolios up to speed and follow the new regulations. Dee helped me evict a problem tenant, help refurbish the property  and find a new tenant. All the paperwork is in place and a video inventory of the property in place. It's watertight and I'm confident that this estate agent, who work 7 days a week 10 hours a day have the ability to look after the property.

Lock and Key go the extra mile and I can't recommend them enough.

Dee at lock&key is amazing and is such a hard working lady, has always worked really long hours to go the extra mile to help everyone and as a landlord myself putting the houses through Dee has really helped me as she is able to have work done on the properties in a timely manner. Lock & key is very established and doesn’t have properties long on the market due to the amazing team and work they do behind the scenes.
